Soil and Water Testing Laboratory

 KVK has the facility to test 12 parameters in soil, those are pH, EC, organic carbon, available N, P and K, S, Zn, Fe, Mn, Mo and B. Soil samples are collected on grid basis from farmers field, OFT and FLD fields and as submitted by other stakeholders. Soil health card is issued to the farmers in which soil test based fertilizer recommendation is given. SHC is issued in Odia language for convenience of local farmers. Mini soil lab, Mridaparikshyak is also used for testing of soil sample. Water samples are tested for pH, EC and total alkalinity which mostly collected from pisciculture tanks.
